Who pays for the program?

There are many ways the program actually pays for itself with increased revenues from all departments. Building profit into an upgrade package can also pay for the program. Marketing & Advertising budget can also easily cover it.

How do writers get compensated for the points discount?

Most dealers will charge the points "discount" to advertising so the advisors will not lose commission on the sale. Some will look at it as an opportunity for the advisors to up sell and make additional commission after discount or "rebate".

It is an expense that does not show immediate ROI, why should I do it?

Like most expenses that pertain to a vehicle sale, those expenses are packed into a vehicle sale. The first 3-4 months of sales create an extended cushion of revenue set aside to offset any expense by the time the first service visit occurs. I already have a program from the factory, why do I need this?

The factory does very little to brand your dealership. You can't control your own message. A factory program does nothing to make you unique in the marketplace.
